The Shopper's Guide to Pesticide in Produce

I recently went to my doctor for a checkup. She suggested I try to incorporate more fruits and vegetables in my diet and preferably choose organic produce which is pesticide free. There is a growing consensus in the scientific community that even small doses of pesticides can be toxic. Even washing and rinsing fresh produce does not eliminate pesticides.

Now, if you are like me, you probably never realized the difference or did not want to spend the money on organic. I spent some time researching this and apparently there is truth to the fact that pesticides can be harmful. I thought I would share this with those of you who may have thought, like me, that organic wasn’t worth it. Well it is! Stay healthy and keep you family healthy too!
