- Tuesday, February 21 10:00am EST- Danny and Ann Williams
Join Lisa as she interviews Danny and Ann Williams, full time Real Estate Investors
Danny and Ann Williams have been investing in single family houses in the south Atlanta area for over 30 years. What began as a second, part-time job has evolved into a full-time business for both of them.Danny worked for Delta Air Lines for over 30 years, including a leave to serve in the air force for 4 years. Many of his vacation weeks in the corporate world were spent educating himself in real estate and financing. He was able to break the golden handcuffs, leave the corporate world behind in October 1994, and devote his energy full time to real estate. What started as a part-time venture developed into a passion for structuring deals, developing creative financing, and working with people to solve their problems. It is not work when you enjoy what you do this much!
Ann worked for Delta Air Lines for 24 years, where she and Danny met. She then moved on to the consulting world to work for IBM and several smaller companies in the information technology “boom years”. She was able to leave the corporate world and join Danny full time in 2001. Ann shares Danny’s passion for real estate, but her focus is more on the technology and office side of the company.
There have been different economic cycles in 30 years; calling for various ways to address them. A cookie-cutter approach will not work in the long-term. They have adjusted their strategy to take advantage of each part of the cycle. They have been able to combine their skills and knowledge with a business plan that allows each of them to take full advantage of their complimentary skills – and to enjoy what they do!
